Student Advisory Committees

The Vice President for Student Affairs annually appoints and oversees three advisory committees focused on the topics of belonging, inclusion, and sexual misconduct to better understand and address issues of importance among the student body.

Campus Climate Advisory Committees

Largely composed of undergraduate and graduate student representatives, two Campus Climate Advisory Committees meet regularly each semester to offer input to the Vice President for Student Affairs about the Notre Dame campus climate as it relates to belonging and inclusion. These committees neither adopt policy nor serve as official governing bodies. Instead, the goal of these committees is to assist University leadership in gathering information about the campus climate to remain attuned and receptive to student questions, concerns, and needs.

Committee on Sexual Assault Prevention

The Committee on Sexual Assault Prevention (CSAP) offers advice and guidance to the Office of Institutional Equity and Office of Student Affairs on how to assist and support victims of sexual assault. A tri-campus committee comprised of faculty, staff, and students, CSAP spearheads assessment efforts to understand the needs of students, provides recommendations related to prevention initiatives, and facilitates collaboration and communication among the different departments and student groups working to address sexual violence at Notre Dame, Saint Mary's College, and Holy Cross College.
