COVID-19 Updates

STUDENT BOOSTER REQUIREMENT
As an extension of the University’s existing COVID-19 vaccination requirement, the COVID-19 booster is also required of all students - undergraduate, graduate, and professional, including students studying or performing research remotely and/or virtually - who have been fully vaccinated for more than six months.

Students who have already received an exemption from the COVID-19 vaccine requirement are exempt from the booster requirement and do not need to reapply for a new exemption. Any student who does not already have an exemption but now needs one should email immunizations@nd.edu.

ON-CAMPUS BOOSTER VACCINATION CLINIC
Current students may receive the booster vaccination at any off-campus location or at the University’s on-campus booster vaccination clinic Tuesday, Jan. 11 through Friday, Jan. 14. The clinic will be hosted inside Gate 2 of the Edmund P. Joyce Athletic & Convocation Center (Joyce Center) and will offer the Pfizer-BioNTech booster vaccine.

The hours of operation are as follows:

Tuesday, Jan. 11: Noon to 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 12 and Thursday, Jan. 13: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday, Jan. 14: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Students must register for an appointment at the on-campus clinic in advance. Register here.

Yesterday, the University experienced an issue with the registration system in which a large number of students were both unable to view available time slots and schedule an appointment. This issue has been resolved and students may once again register for the on-campus clinic. Students will receive a confirmation email after their registration has been completed.

OFF-CAMPUS BOOSTER VACCINES
If you were fully vaccinated for COVID-19 more than six months ago and would like to receive a booster shot before traveling for Christmas break or while you are away from campus, a variety of options are available. For a full list of Indiana COVID-19 vaccination sites, please click here

Documentation for students who receive the booster at the on-campus clinic or at University Health Services (UHS) will be automatically uploaded to the student’s UHS patient portal. Students who receive the booster at an off-campus location, including the Notre Dame Wellness Center, must manually upload a picture of their vaccine card to their UHS patient portal. Instructions for uploading booster documentation can be found here
