TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE - WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
On Monday, April 8 in South Bend, Indiana, the solar eclipse will be 97 percent at 3:09 p.m. It is never safe to stare directly at the eclipsed sun without proper filters, as it can temporarily or permanently damage your eyes and vision. Looking at the sun through a camera, smartphone, or any optical device without a proper solar filter can damage the equipment and your eyes. If you want to photograph or record the eclipse, use a solar filter on your camera lens. For direct viewing, special eclipse viewers with International Organization Standardization (ISO) 12312-2 filters are required. It is not safe to view the eclipsed sun with sunglasses, or multiple pairs of them; smoked glasses; photo film negatives; polarizing filters; x-ray film; neutral density filters; or damaged eclipse viewers. Register here to check out the eclipse safely at the Solar Eclipse Watch Party.

CALM
Take the time to nurture yourself this spring. Sometimes growth doesn't show up externally right away. Like flowers and plants in nature, they spend many months hibernating in the soil, and when spring comes, they start to blossom in their own unique ways. You're growing and evolving at your own pace. This is a gentle reminder to be kind to yourself, trust your journey, and remember you can always spring forward. Click here to try our spring refresh collection. The Calm app is the #1 app for sleep, meditation, and relaxation. Notre Dame offers students a free, premium subscription. To take advantage of this offer, sign up here
