Synod at Notre Dame

The word “synod,” which we have all seen and heard a lot about lately, means “meeting” in the context of “traveling together.” Modeled after the worldwide synod being conducted by Pope Francis, Campus Ministry will soon convene a synod at Notre Dame. As a part of the process, Campus Ministry will begin by listening closely and learning from as many students as possible as we navigate Notre Dame together. This spring, the office hopes to bring together 1,000 or more students in groups of 10-12 to talk with and listen to one another.

Whether you go to Mass every Sunday or once a year; consider yourself a practicing Catholic or a former member of the Church; or are capable of winning the "Catholic Teachings” category in Jeopardy!, we want to listen to you and learn how and where God fits into your life and what you want the Catholic Church and Notre Dame to know about you.

Click here to learn more about the synod on campus and sign up to participate in listening sessions.
