Reminder of Campus Protocol for Interacting with Law Enforcement
To ensure all members of the campus community feel informed and supported, please review this reminder of the University’s established protocols for interactions with external law enforcement and government agencies, including federal entities. Thank you for your attention to this important guidance, which reflects our shared values of justice, care, and community while ensuring that Notre Dame remains in compliance with all applicable laws.
In-person Active Violence Preparedness Training
Notre Dame is committed to making campus as safe as possible, and helping students, faculty, and staff mentally prepare for how to respond if faced with an active threat can help the campus community think more clearly in an emergency.
The Notre Dame Police Department (NDPD) offers in-person training on active violence and emergency action planning to departments, classrooms, labs, and residence halls upon request. The training provides a foundation for active violence awareness and preparedness, and encourages situational awareness if an incident occurs.
To learn more about emergency preparedness, including active violence, or to schedule an in-person active violence preparedness training, please email safety@nd.edu.

UCC THERAPY GROUPS
Prioritizing your mental health doesn't mean you need to navigate your struggles alone. The UCC offers free, confidential group therapy sessions designed specifically for students looking to connect, heal, and grow alongside their peers. Led by professional clinicians, these weekly sessions provide a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space to share experiences, build coping strategies, and discuss topics ranging from academic anxiety and stress management to relationship challenges and identity exploration.
Whether you want to actively participate in the conversation or simply listen and learn from others who understand what you are going through, therapy groups serve as a reminder that you are part of a community that cares. Space is limited, so stop by the UCC during Drop-in hours to discuss group counseling options and learn what group experience might best fit their needs.
