Erin Hoffmann Harding, J.D.
Vice President for Student Affairs
Erin Hoffmann Harding began her tenure as Vice President for Student Affairs in August 2012. As Vice President for Student Affairs Ms. Hoffmann Harding oversees five areas comprised of multiple departments related to residential life, student development, student services, campus ministry, and career and professional development. She previously served as associate vice president for strategic planning and special projects. The Office of Strategic Planning merged under Ms. Hoffmann Harding’s leadership with the University’s institutional research function which encompasses external reporting to the U.S. Department of Education and rankings agencies, comparative analysis of peer institutions, development and reporting of a variety of internal and national constituent surveys, and the administration of the University’s course instructor feedback system to form the Office of Strategic Planning and Institutional Research.
Prior to coming to Notre Dame in 2005, Ms. Hoffmann Harding served as a management consultant in the Chicago and Cleveland offices of the international consulting firm McKinsey and Company Inc. She is a summa cum laude graduate of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business and earned her juris doctor degree magna cum laude from Harvard Law School.
She and her husband, Ryan, also a Notre Dame graduate and an attorney, are the parents of three young sons.
