The following is a partial list of ways faculty can participate in Notre Dame’s vibrant campus life:

Residential Scholars Program: First-year students from selected residence halls and distinguished members of the Notre Dame faculty and administration gather for informal dinners over the course of the academic year. For more information, contact Ann Firth, Associate Vice President for Student Affairs (firth.2@nd.edu).

Discernment Dinners: Designed to create opportunities for first-year students to discuss with faculty how to choose a major, as a first step in their educational and vocational paths. Twenty first-year students halls share a catered meal with three or four faculty members in the informal setting of a residence hall. Hall Fellows Program: Faculty members cultivate an ongoing relationship with a particular residence hall community, participating in various academic, social and liturgical events throughout the academic year. “Invite your Favorite Faculty” Hall Dinners: Sophomores and juniors invite their favorite faculty members to dinner in their residence hall. New faculty are also welcomed. For more information, contact Ann Firth, Associate Vice President for Student Affairs (firth.2@nd.edu).

Residence Hall Presentations and Discussions: Faculty facilitate discussions on a wide variety of topics, at the invitation of the residence hall communities.
