Fisher Hall named in honor of Fred and Sally Fisher of Detroit, Michigan opened in 1952. The fourth smallest male residence hall at Notre Dame, Fisher houses 184 Fishermen in 108 rooms. The weight room and Chapel of St. Paul were recently renovated in 2001.
Fisher residents are called to brotherhood, unity, and service. The Hall is next to the South Dining Hall located on the beautiful South Quad just steps from the Rockne Memorial. Known as the Green Wave, Fisher hosts the best known campus signature event the Fisher Regatta, where each residence hall is invited to race its own personally constructed boat across St. Joseph’s lake.
