Office of Alcohol & Drug Education

The Office of Alcohol and Drug Education offers a confidential student assistance program for Notre Dame’s campus. The office provides a central location where students can obtain up-to-date information about alcohol and other drugs, and affords a wide range of services, including confidential alcohol and other drug screening, referral, a walk-in information center, and educational programs and resources.

Campus Ministry

Campus Ministry coordinates an array of services and opportunities to assist students of all faith traditions in their efforts to engage in a rich and active spiritual life. Campus Ministry offers retreats, small faith-sharing communities, resources for liturgy planning, spiritual advising, catechetical programs in conjunction with the Department of Theology, opportunities to participate in a variety of choirs, and pastoral support for gay, lesbian, and bisexual students.

Career Center

The Career Center is dedicated to the development and implementation of innovative programs and services that promote life-long career management skills for students and alumni. Staff assist undergraduate and graduate students with all stages of career counseling, career assessment inventories, group workshops, presentations for academic departments, career fairs, and mock interviews, in addition to other services.

Gender Relations Center

The Gender Relations Center (GRC) was founded to create a healthier climate for women and men at the University of Notre Dame. Committed to the spiritual, emotional and intellectual development of all students, the GRC is a place where both women and men can engage in respectful dialogue and explore issues of identity, relationships and equality.

Multicultural Student Programs and Services administers programs and services specifically designed to assist in the retention and success of traditionally underrepresented students. MSPS offers opportunities for cultural expression, advising, mentoring, diversity training, and a variety of programs designed to enhance the conversation about multicultural issues among all students at the University.

The Office of Residence Life is dedicated to the University’s mission of instilling in students a sense of, and appreciation for, community and responsibility. The office is responsible for educating the campus community on expectations for student conduct and administering the University’s disciplinary system by providing an educationally-based opportunity for students to reflect on their behavior, take responsibility for their actions, and understand the value of the behavioral standards in place at the University. Staff in the Office of Residence Life work collaboratively to connect students with support services on and off campus in an effort to encourage students’ successful contributions to the University community.

Student Activities Office

The Student Activities Office oversees over 300 student clubs and organizations. Student Activities staff strive to enhance the educational experience of students and the campus community through development of, exposure to, participation in, and assistance with intellectual, spiritual, cultural, recreational, social, leadership, and employment opportunities. The office fosters an environment which values difference, the freedom of expression, and the holistic development of students.

University Counseling Center

Dining Hall

College life is a time of change, growth, and transition. The staff of the University Counseling Center (UCC) is trained to help college students through these times of adjustment. The University Counseling Center offers a broad range of professional services to degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students. Services include individual and group counseling as well as outreach programs and consultation. The UCC is devoted to helping students with concerns such as interpersonal relationships, exploration of values, personal growth and well-being, stress management, self-esteem and confidence, social/sexual difficulties, performance enhancement, time management, life and career planning, academic difficulties, sexual assault, anxiety, depression, alcohol/drug abuse, loss and grief, and eating disorders.

University Health Services

University Health Services provides comprehensive treatment of illness and injuries to all currently enrolled students. The Health Center is open to meet health care needs 24 hours a day when school is in session. A staff of physicians, registered nurses, and a full complement of auxiliary medical personnel provide health care through the ambulatory care clinic and inpatient unit.
